Today is the official first day of my new shop and on this quest for a simpler and more fulfilling lifestyle, so I'm really exited!
It's been a while since my last post on the blog or any BtB activity for that matter, but it really has been a crazy year. My wife applied to a PhD program and had the chance to fulfill her professional dream which is not an easy thing these days and I think one should always try to follow the path that makes him/herself feel complete, so we decided to move our family 300Km South so we can still be together. I had to quit my job, but I've also decided go after my professional dream and style of live... making knives and forging steel.
I've been looking for a place to settle my shop for four months now and it was harder than I thought, it seems that people don't like the smell of coal nor the sound of an anvil near their door.... go figure.. strange people...
Any way, things are starting to look better now, I've got my shop up and running on a piece of land that's far enough of everybody. I still have a few adjustments to make on the forging side of the shop but I'll be making some knives for now has I organize my smithy.
To all that have been waiting, thank you for your patience, things are picking up now and I hope to have knives flying off really soon.
